A typical day learning English in York
On the juniors programme in York you will experience English in a variety of contexts, from classroom learning to interactive social activities and excursions.
In the morning you will join fellow English language students** in a class that is adapted to your level of English. You will improve your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills through a variety of interactive classroom activities, covering exciting topics like British culture, entertainment, clothes and fashion, or music.
You will get a break half way through your lessons.
After lunch, you will have afternoon activities such as sports, arts and crafts, or treasure hunts. For 3 afternoons a week you will be taken on afternoon excursions in and around the beautiful city of York**, giving you the opportunity to practise your English language skills in real-life contexts around the city in places such as the Jorvik Viking Experience, the York Chocolate Story, or the National Railway Museum.
For 3 nights every week you will get to socialise with your friends in an evening activity. Led by our fun and enthusiastic Activity Leaders, the evening activities vary from a river boat cruise and Viking walks to games nights and mini golf.
