Q. Can I go out on my own in the evenings?

A.

You must never leave the college, campus or homestay family alone or with friends; you may only leave with an Experience English staff member or with a group leader if they have permission from the Centre Manager to take you out and have filled out the appropriate forms.

If you are travelling alone as an individual student (without a group) you will be given a mentor, who is a member of staff who will help you during your stay. They will also collect you for your first meal and show you where everything is.

You should get to know your mentor, their job is to look after you. Ask them any questions you may have; they will give you information about contacting them. If they live at the centre they will show you where to find them and how to phone them.

Your mentor will help you to get used to the centre, introduce you to other students and you will soon make friends. If you have any problems, please ask your mentor - they are here to help!
