A typical day learning English at our Manchester School
Every day our friendly team of staff are ready to welcome you with a warm hello! Here is what a typical day looks like on our English courses in Manchester:
In the mornings you will have 2-3 lessons with a mid-morning break, giving you time to grab a coffee nearby, chat to fellow classmates or ask our staff any questions you might have. Lessons last 50 minutes each.
Every week, you will take a progress test as part of your class, to check how your English skills are developing and evaluate which areas of improvement you need to focus on for the week ahead.
If you are taking a course of 25-30 lessons per week, you will also have afternoon classes*. Such courses include intensive General English, IELTS Preparation, General English Plus One-to-One TOEIC, TOEFL, or BULATS preparation, and Cambridge Exam Preparation.
We also run an activity programme including activities such as film nights and trips to museums or art galleries, helping you improve your English language communication skills in a relaxed and informal setting. This is a great opportunity to meet other students and build life-long friendships.
Some activities are free and others incur an additional cost. If you were to take part in all activities throughout the week, you can expect to pay £10-£50 per week.
*Afternoon classes vary depending on your course. For example. intensive General English classes take place on Mondays to Thursdays, and include sessions on Wordpower and Grammar and Writing. Please contact us for details about your preferred course.
