Overview

We are delighted we will soon be joining the British Study Centres family to create the largest group of premium language schools in the UK.  While we are busy preparing, we will be taking all enquiries and bookings as usual.

Founded in 1977, Hampstead School of English is a well-established and highly-reputed English language school in London. Our students enjoy excellent levels of personal care and attention from a friendly team of highly committed and dedicated staff, to help you maximise your progress in English.

The school is perfectly located between the wealthy residential areas of Hampstead, one of London's best-preserved old villages, and West Hampstead, with its beautiful high street full of cafes, shops and restaurants. It is also within walking distance of Hampstead Heath, one of London's largest and most ancient parks.

As such it is an ideal location for discovering ‘real-life’ London whilst also being close to multiple transport links to explore central London.

Every week, you will take a progress test as part of your class, to check how your English skills are developing and evaluate which areas of improvement you need to focus on for the week ahead.

Evenings

Every week we run various different social activities led by a member of the school team, giving you the opportunity to discover new places, make new friends, and practise your English!

In addition to our regular pub night, we also organise activities such as museum trips, art galleries, and guided walks to help you get to know London better, as well as sports activities.  Activities vary according to the time of the year and events that are happening in London at the time, so you can really make the most of your visit.

Some activities are free and others incur an additional cost. If you were to take part in all activities throughout the week, you can expect to pay up to £20 per week.
