General English Plus One-to-One BULATS Preparation

The Business Language Testing Service (BULATS) is designed to evaluate the level of language skills of candidates who need to use English in their work. It is also suitable for students and employees on language courses or on professional/business courses where English is an important part of the course.  Commonly, funding schemes such as the CPF in France require students to prepare for the BULATS in the UK prior to taking the test. The test is designed and delivered by Cambridge ESOL in collaboration with leading assessment experts.

Our General English plus BULATS preparation course in Manchester starts every Monday (except 3 July to 25 August 2017) and includes a combination of 20 General English lessons and 2 private lessons per week in which you can focus on perfecting your exam skills.

09.15-12.00, Monday to Friday: In the morning this course follows the same pattern as the Morning General English course, concentrating on the four main skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing.

Afternoon lessons: The 5 afternoon group lessons focus on one of the following options:

  • Speaking & Listening: Improve your fluency and comprehension of the English language in a variety of contexts
  • Grammar & Writing: Develop your accuracy in English grammar and writing, working on key grammatical structures such as past, present and future tenses, conditionals, gerunds and infinitives, comparatives and superlatives. Writing exercises may include essay structure, paragraphing, language register and context, sentence linking and appropriacy.

One-to-One lessons: The 2 private one-to-one lessons focus on specific skills you want to work on to help you pass your test. These last 60 minutes each and normally take place in the afternoon.
